Dr. Patricia Paddison is a
psychiatrist who opened her own practice June 2003 in
the Bellevue, Washington area after a 12 year
relationship with Virgina Mason Medical Center in
Seattle. Her specialties include the treatment of
women's psychiatric disorders such as PMS, medications
during pregnancy and postpartum, perimenopausal
depression. Her interests include the interface of
neurotransmitters and hormones and the effect they have
on behavior. She has a growing psychopharmacologic
practice and frequently lectures on the treatment of refractory
depression. She is Board Certified by the American Board
of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Paddison
completed her residency and fellowship in
Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the
Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She is also the
author of many textbook chapters; the most current being
"Hormonally-related Mood Disorders: PMS & Depression in
Pregnancy, the Postpartum and the Perimenopause"
published in the textbook,
Current Care of Women: Diagnosis
and Treatment (McGraw-Hill, 2003)
She has been
listed in Seattle Magazine as a top doctor 3 times
including September 2004.
